Julien Mordecai
President
Julien Mordecai has worked with independent advisors since 1994. Prior to founding AllBackoffice Consulting, he worked with Schwab Performance Technologies, B-Ready Outsourcing Solutions (OFN, then Envestnet) and Etelligent Consulting (later Schwab PortfolioServices). Julien remains focused on helping advisors push the envelope of efficiency and productivity using creative innovations in technology. He is committed to offering service with best-practice processes as its core foundation. Julien’s vision for AllBackoffice Consulting is to provide advisors with an independent, trusted technology partner to assist in operational and technology selection, configuration and ongoing management support with continuous operational evolution as the goal.

Julien believes that selecting the best-fit technology is important; but how businesses successfully implement and evolve their technology for the benefit of their internal teams and clients is more important.

Born in Managua Nicaragua with a move to Raleigh, NC, Julien graduated from North Carolina State University with BA degrees in International Business Management and Spanish Language and Literature. He obtained the NASD series 7 and 63 licenses and completed portions of the College for Financial Planning’s CFP course work before realizing his passion for serving advisor entrepreneurs. Julien, with wife Patricia and children, Wood, Beatrice and Harris, live in Edenton, NC. He is Treasurer for Edenton Rotary, and a member of St. PAULS Church.
Calvin Elliot
Head of Advisor Solutions
Calvin Elliott has worked with AllBackoffice from the beginning, starting out as an Operations Associate before taking on the role of IT Manager in 2016 and ultimately moving into his current role in 2019. Calvin holds a B.S. in Business Administration from North Carolina State University.

Calvin was born in Elizabeth City, NC, but currently resides in Edenton, NC with his wife Ceili and daughter Adaline. Calvin is a very dedicated, determined, and honest individual. When not assisting ABC and its clients or spending time with his family, Calvin can be found in his woodshop creating masterpieces from blocks of wood.
Chris Manker
Fintech and Technology Strategy
Chris has been with AllBackoffice for more than twelve years, overseeing product development. Chris is also the founder of Nexa Insights.
Xandra Pendergrass
Strategic Advisor
Previously Xandra developed and measured firm strategy, policies, and procedures for a Multi Family Office. She provided oversight and guidance across all departments to ensure the client experience is enhanced while finding efficiencies. She also collaborated with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure the firm followed all regulatory requirements. And assisted the firm through several acquisitions.
She is passionate about helping companies develop an effective management culture. By offering a positive employee experience, productivity levels increase and talent is retained. All of this is possible through tools and skills to be applied consistently.
Xandra graduated from Averett University with a BBA, and received a Graduate Certificate from University of Virginia in Organizational Leadership. She currently uses all of these skills and passions to serve as a strategic advisor to the leadership team at AllBackoffice.
Claire Phillips
Head of Bookkeeping and Human Resources
Claire Phillips has worked in various areas of the bookkeeping field since 1997. Beginning in 2000, Claire worked exclusively in QuickBooks Pro and Premier while working with a local CPA, managing bookkeeping for various clients.

Claire is an Edenton, NC native and resides with her husband Bill. Claire graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BA degree in Psychology. Outside of work, Claire loves spending time with her two horses.
Darlene Guillory
Advisor Solutions Senior Account Manager
Darlene Guillory graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. She worked for Financial Support Services part time from 2001 to 2004, becoming full time in 2005. In 2007, she became an independent contractor with FSS. Then, in April of 2013, she began contracting with financial planners directly and with other back-office supporters such as AllBackoffice Consulting. She now works exclusively for ABC.

Darlene was born in Morgan City, LA, but has resided in Texas most of her life and considers herself a Texan. She is a service-minded team player, and a person with great integrity. She enjoys watching football, bike riding, gardening, and driving the backroads of Texas. And chocolate.
Shelbey Bateman
Head of Onboarding & Advisor Solutions
Account Manager
Shelbey Bateman has been a part of the AllBackoffice team since December 2015. Shelbey graduated from the University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Accounting in 2018 and received an MBA in June 2020. Shelbey is a dedicated team member that strives to provide the best support and experience for her clients.

Currently residing in Edenton, NC, Shelbey enjoys attending her children’s after-school activities, kayaking, reading, and being outdoors.
Patti Smith
Advisor Solutions Account Manager & Account Aggregation Expert
Patti Smith has worked in the financial industry for 14 years, during which time she developed a strong understanding of financial data including implementation services for RIAs. Patti has a strong financial software background having previously worked for two portfolio management software companies. Patti attended Garrett College in MD and has a degree in Business Management. Patti is a member of Crossroads Church where she is active in life groups and is a member of the prayer team. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and recently began wreath crafting in her spare time.
As an Account Manager at AllBackoffice Consulting, LLC, Patti hopes to help broaden the company’s ability to add more custodial availability for clients while providing superior customer service.
Amy Fike
Advisor Solutions Account Manager
Amy Fike joined AllBackoffice Consulting in 2022. She has a BS in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing from the University of Maryland University College. She is currently pursuing an MS in Psychology from Capella University.

Amy’s professional experience includes a variety of executive, financial, and back office supports. Her career began with two portfolio management software companies, Morningstar and AssetBook. At both companies, she provided back office support services to registered investment advisors and became an expert in customer support. Amy’s experience in working with business professionals led her to work for Hanover Street Capital providing due diligence for Deutsche Bank’s commercial real estate financing company. In 2019 Amy served as the finance manager of Garrett County Lighthouse, a non-profit psychiatric rehabilitation facility, and was quickly promoted to Executive Director where she helped structure the organization and build lasting referring relationships.

Amy resides in Oakland, MD with her two children. When she’s not in the office, Amy enjoys several hobbies including hiking, baking, and painting.
Sophie Talbot
Advisor Solutions Technology Lead
Sophie Talbot has worked in client services for over 30 years and has worked with AllBackoffice since February 2014. Sophie attended the University of Houston and the University of Arkansas where she received a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Abnormal Psychology, while she minored in Business Management.
Sophie was originally born in Keelung City, Taiwan, although she was raised on a chicken farm in Arkansas. After living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sophie moved back to the states and now resides in North Carolina. Sophie enjoys spending time with her loved ones, hanging out with her animals, and watching comedies.
Ryan Guhne
Advisor Solutions Technology Associate
Ryan Guhne has been a part of the AllBackoffice team for a total of seven years. Ryan graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He is a dedicated member of our Operations Team and strives to provide the best support to his clients and fellow ABC team members.
Ryan grew up in Greensboro, NC and currently resides in Raleigh, NC. He enjoys spending his free time with family cheering on NC State Athletics and his beloved Green Bay Packers. Go Pack!
Luke McKinney
Advisor Solutions Technology Associate
Luke McKinney is an operations team member and part-time IT personnel from Edenton, NC who now lives in Boone, NC. Luke provides technical support to Account Managers in a variety of tasks in Portfolio Center, BlueLeaf, CRM software, and many other platforms. Luke is efficient and reliable with both small and large tasks and is always willing to lend a hand at a moment’s notice. A graduate of Northeast Academy of Aerospace and Advanced Technologies, Luke went on to gain 2 years of undergraduate experience in High Point University's honors scholars program before transitioning to AllBackoffice for real-world experience. Luke's free time is spent learning computer science and cyber security.
Amber Perdue
Advisor Solutions Technology Associate
Amber joined our team as a major player, assisting our entire team in day to day operations of the business. She graduated with an Advanced Diploma targeted towards business, writing and psychology in 2013 and is extremely goal oriented. She worked for several years as a legal secretary and paralegal in Virginia and has a lot to offer.

Amber moved from Florida to Edenton, NC to be closer to family. She is a brilliant gardener and plant mom in her spare time, as well as a major foodie. She enjoys spending time with loved ones and her animals.
Lauren Ryder
Advisor Solutions Technology Associate
Lauren joined All Backoffice Consulting in May 2024. She has her BS in Business Administration from The University of New Hampshire.
Prior to her career at All Backoffice, Lauren worked as a personal trainer in Melbourne, Florida. Through her personal training job Lauren learned how much she loves to help people which made her excited for her position with All Backoffice.
Lauren is originally from a small town in New Hampshire. She now resides in Kingsland, GA with her fiancé who is in the Navy and her seven pound Maltipoo, Dumbell. When Lauren is not in the office she is at the gym training, as she is a competitive powerlifter, her goal is to deadlift over 400 pounds and bench over 200 pounds before her next birthday. Some of her other hobbies include, fishing, hunting, hiking and traveling.
Leah Wright
Advisor Solutions Technology Associate
Leah joined AllBackoffice Consulting in July 2024 and is excited to learn and grow with the team.
Her professional experience spans over six years in the real estate industry. She has managed transactions from start to finish, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and has trained remote assistants while coordinating with title companies and attorneys.
At eXp Realty, LLC, Leah led a team of 37, implemented new processes, and created efficient reporting tools. Prior to this, she worked as a Learning and Development Assistant Manager and as a Contract Compliance Specialist Lead, where she honed her leadership and analytical skills.Leah is currently diving into a Salesforce administrator certification course, and she is proficient with Google Suite, Excel, and various cloud-based platforms, which help her stay organized and efficient.
Leah is a dedicated military spouse of 17 years, living in Camden, NC with her husband and their four kids. They also have a bernedoodle named Willow. When she's not working, Leah enjoys spending time with her family and exploring new challenges.
Paul Scroggins
Advisor Solutions Technology Associate
Paul joined All Backoffice Consulting in June 2024. He has a BA in Sports Business from Marshall University and is currently completing a BS in Data Management & Data Analytics from Western Governors University.
Prior to ABC, Paul had a short stint at a software development company. Before he spent 15 years as the Data Operations manager for a large RIA in Columbus, OH.
Originally from a small WV town near Pittsburgh, Paul has moved around the country a bit with stops in Huntington, WV; Columbus, OH; Phoenix, AZ: and now resides in Northville, MI (Metro Detroit Area) with his wife Jamie and two kids, Nash and Sydney.
Laura Walters
Advisor Solutions Technology Associate
Laura came to Allbackoffice from Schwab Advisor Services and has been in advisor operations management since 2017. She grew up in central Illinois but is a long-time Arizona resident. She is a proud mom of 4 with one amazing grandson. Her favorite activities are gathering with family and friends for cards, board games and movies or just to hang out together, as well as getting outdoors to explore Arizona's many beautiful wonders.
